Antique Nippon Moriage Porcelain Ewer — Hand Painted Roses

A truly gorgeous antique Nippon porcelain ewer, richly decorated with raised moriage detailing and hand-painted roses. This elegant pitcher features an ornate sculpted handle, lush floral motifs, and delicate gold accents that reflect the exceptional craftsmanship of early Japanese porcelain.

The base bears a green maker’s mark with a maple leaf and hand-painted “Nippon”, dating this piece to the early 20th century, making it well over 100 years old. Despite its age, it remains in very good antique condition. There is expected wear to the gold highlights including the handle and edges, and the gold trim on the base appears to have been touched up at some point (see photos). This area is not visible when displayed and does not detract from its overall beauty.

Measuring approximately 6 inches in diameter, this antique ewer displays beautifully on a shelf, mantel, or in a curio cabinet and makes a stunning accent piece for Victorian, shabby chic, or traditional décor.
