Pretty Hand Painted Post Production Noritake Plate

Here is a very pretty Noritake plate that has been painted with violets and gold trim. The center features a small bouquet while single violets appear on the edge. This plate would make a lovely gift with cookies for someone special or display and enjoy it yourself. The painting in soft and delicate.

The plate bears the Noritake Goldena Nippon mark which should date it to the 1920s or earlier. I believe the painting was added after production; however, the gold band was probably added at production. There are also the initials IC which may have been the artist as they appear similar in color to the deepest purple.

This plate is in good condition. The violets look great. There is age appropriate wear to the gold rim highlights.
