Antique E.M. Weinberg Silverplate Sugar Tongs
Antique E.M. Weinberg Silverplate Sugar Tongs
A delicate and elegant pair of antique silverplate sugar tongs by E.M. Weinberg & Co in the “Weinberg One” pattern, marked “Silverplate” and the maker’s W in a diamond hallmark. Dating to the early 1900s, these petite tongs feature charming shell-shaped ends and a graceful design typical of turn-of-the-century tableware.
Measuring approximately 3 inches long, these small tongs were traditionally used for serving sugar cubes during tea service, but they also make a lovely addition to a vintage flatware collection, tea table, or antique display.
These sugar tongs are in very good antique condition and have been lightly polished, giving the silverplate a soft shine while still maintaining their vintage character. Their compact size and decorative shell motif make them a pretty and collectible accent piece.
