T&V Limoges Opalescent Bowl
T&V Limoges Opalescent Bowl
Here is a very unusual and special piece. The Limoges six sided bowl was made in France by Tressemann and Vogt and bares their T&V stamp that dates to 1892-1917. This bowl stands on 3 ball feet. Each side features a gold and black basket containing fruit with an opalescent background. This bowl measures 8 inches from corner to corner.
Overall the piece displays well. It has a couple of condition issues. There is some minor staining on inside corner. There is a small line on one of the interior sides approximately an inch long. I am not sure if it is a small crack or deep crazing. You can feel it with your finger nail on the inside but not on the outside. It is not visible from the outside either. There is some age appropriate wear on the gold trim and a name written on the bottom.
This piece is very sharp and will make a great addition to any home. Whether it serves as a decoration or holding candies.
These are vintage items which have a rich history. While I do my best to provide an accurate description, please closely review the photos to admire these items and review their unique history and idiosyncrasies.
